PurchasePoint is a complete charge capture, inventory control, and purchasing program, designed to help eldercare facilities maximize their revenue from ancillary charge capture, and efficiently manage supply inventories.

Integrated Ancillary Charge Capture

PurchasePoint uses bar code scanners to capture ancillary charges and services at the time of dispense, maximizing reimbursement and private pay revenue. PurchasePoint streamlines the charge capture process by eliminating the expense and time of labeling individual products and manually entering charges into your billing system. Using PurchasePoint’s built in label maker wizard, each ancillary item, staff member, and resident is assigned a unique barcode. Charges are scanned from shelf tags or scan sheets right at the point of dispense, capturing all of the information in one easy step. PurchasePoint works efficiently with the full line of MDI Achieve financial products to accurately post each charge to the proper resident account for billing, saving valuable staff time by eliminating manual entry and the billing errors that often occur.

Easy-to-use Inventory Tracking

PurchasePoint offers a full perpetual inventory system that allows facilities to accurately and efficiently track supply inventories in multiple locations, transfer items between locations, and maintain appropriate stock levels, reducing waste and the risk of theft. Using user defined par levels, PurchasePoint creates electronic fill lists to streamline the replenishment of supplies from central supply out to the floor. PurchasePoint puts you in control of your supplies by showing you the exact value of your inventory, which floors are using the most products, which inventory items are overstocked, exactly how much inventory is going missing, and much more.

Complete purchase order system

PurchasePoint includes a built-in ordering system that suggests appropriate orders based on actual usage and then automatically creates electronic purchase orders. With the click of a button, you can transfer your purchase orders directly to your vendors via email, fax, or even right into their e-commerce web sites. For medical supplies, office supplies, durable equipment, or any other product your facility orders regularly, PurchasePoint provides a single interface for purchasing from multiple vendors. PurchasePoint’s PO system also helps enforce a formulary for multi-site operations and can be used to create quick orders directly from the scanner.
